INCREASING YOUR INTELLIGENCE: THE SELF-MASTERY CHALLENGE

we are not responsible for what people do to us, but we take full responsibility of how we react

For decades, the theory on whether a person’s personalities are fixed is still a subject of today’s society. Well, this is just a theory for all it is. Away with this theory, and let’s face some serious questions here: Do you believe your personalities are fixed, and there’s nothing you can do about it? If you are one of those who have bought into this piece, here’s an alert: The Law of Attraction dissolves this all. Later, I will take some time, in another post maybe, to talk more about the law of attraction. In this video, I show how we are ultimately responsible about how we react to the world around us. You have heard people say, we are not responsible for what people do to us, but we take full responsibility of how we react. This is true! I’m not a believer of that fixed-personality theory for I have seen people walk away from their drug addiction and sex addiction problems; I have seen people walk away from envy and jealousy to a life free of these negative grips. I am keen on personality here because personality and intelligence work closely. Personality and intelligence have direct proportions. If a person is considered to have a timid personality, chances are that person is less likely to be intelligent.

In my own life, I failed to do the things I most admire, but make up excuses to justify my laziness to people. And you know laziness craves for contentment and satisfaction like crazy. It wants things to go easy and just fine. This is how our intelligence is measured; by what we do about our weaknesses, which also measure the scale of our personalities.

Electronic Management: What’s its worth?

What’s going on fellas? This week is fresh, and you probably might have a lot on your plate. In today’s post, I’d like to talk about the need of having a system in your business/working life. This is serious! We all need a system. I took real big time precaution the day my friend Robert narrated a story of how he had to give account of some missing monies he had piled up for his youth department and some colleagues. As his story went, he had been managing his personal and some colleagues’ finances, as well as his department’s in one place. He thought it was a very wise idea as long as he had all his records on the go. His traditional financial system was a hard-back, black-and-white copy book and a pen. He drew out tables labeled with the names of his clients. His tables contained several columns which carried information such as the date his client deposited money, the amount deposited and stuff like that. But guess what? Robert went face down when his six years old sister used that same copybook for a different reason. It happened that Robert left the copybook in the open, available enough to any kind of ruin. When his kiddy, Amie, stumbled upon it, she had just found her toy of the day. She tore it apart. Robert has lost everything. Although he had the finances, he had lost his directory. He could only make assumptions about who has deposited xyz amount based on recent transactions. Earlier transactions were far off his hook. If you were one of Robert’s friends who kept money with him, what’d you do? Pity his story and just take whatever he handed, or make a demand for your just amount? I would choose the later.

We all know mistakes happen, and that some people screw up ever so often, but who’d want to be seen as careless or stupid? If Robert had taken up a simple electronic financial recording system or atleast put the details on transactions in an electronic system and leave the summary on paper, it would have saved him from being looked at as careless. It is from this point that I speak. Most youth department or organizations’ financial board walk in the way of Robert at least thrice (3x) a year. All this can be avoided when we take action_very serious action on implementing good system.

There’s a saying that goes, “When the money is properly managed, it grows.” I would like to add this line, “…because then the manager sees…! You don’t have to learn accounting as a profession to do this. The very fact that you are saving that money makes you an accountant, ‘cus an accountant is simply one who gives account.

So do you want to stop screwing up on people’s money and save your face? Why not incorporate an electronic system that would boost your act and make you a confident financial secretary or financial what-so-ever for that matter? There are several apps out there that can help fulfill this goal. Microsoft Excel and Access are our top recommendations. With excel, you can copy that pen-to-paper traditional system that you are already used to directly into a spreadsheet that will do it all for you. Or better sitll embark on Access that can automate your transaction like crazy. At Moifore Tech, we provide a free membership and financial application for churches and organizations financial departments. This system goes from recording a member’s bio data all the way to making a huge budget and expenditure lists. This system brings together the general secretary who is charged with recording and managing members biological information and financial secretary whose responsibility is to record and manage financial transactions. So with nothing to lose, give Moifore Tech Membership and Financial Management System a try by downloading the application to your computer and discovering its true worth. Did I just hear you say you are interested?

Inguinal Hernia: My Struggle With Pain

How we view death, fear and pain has a huge impact on our being. Yes, indeed pain is an unloved feeling by nature. For some, it is a model that defines their lives; for others, no matter how infinitesimally small it is, they will never embrace it. In his book, “Inguinal Hernia: My Struggle with Pain”, Moifore N. Jallah Jr. presents a true life narrative based on his own experience. His story reveals pain and stillness as phenomena that led him out of what seemed to be a situation that had a “DEATH” label on it. But what I find awestruck here is openly coming out to write about his hernia situation. Not too many people will even mention it to their friends. We are conditioned to think that hernia is a shame. So the old paradigm is if you had hernia, you are absolutely the object of scorn. I remembered how Moifore told me that years back he was confronted by a very a childhood person who described him to someone as, “The hernia guy” as a way of identifying him. He said that he didn’t like the emotions that the statement produced in him. I guess he’s now confident enough to bring that to the public. His narrative is a twenty-nine-page pile of lines that can be consumed in one sitting within an hour or two. Give it a read and share this promising writer’s passion with your closest circles. Chances are you might just inspire others to give their story a platform. Happy Read!
